SIXTY WATT REVIEW

Shelflife Records has returned and are tempting my wallet to the point of pain. They plan to release 7" + CD sets in runs of 300, each with such beautiful cover art that it makes you wonder why anybody would ever download music. The first release is by a lovely folk band from Italy, Warm Morning. With all the Kings of Convenience comparisons, I have very high hopes. I'm sure that I'm going to have to lose this idea to be able to fully appreciate the band (on the first few listens, I'm not a convert yet, but am still intrigued). They plan to follow with releases by A Smile and a Ribbon and Days (I can't wait for this one!). You can listen to all the bands, as well as find links to their MySpace pages at Shelflife Records' MySpace page. Copies can be bought through Shelflife Records or Tonevendor...and remember, they are oh-so-limited (and a bit expensive!).
